FIFA’s FIFPro Men’s XI shortlist has been released and the list has seen Liverpool, European reigning champion gets rewarded with seven spots in the 55-man list. As always, Real Madrid and Barcelona dominate the list with English champions Manchester City finding their way to the spot.

Seven members of Jurgen Klopp’s side – Alisson Becker, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Andy Robertson, Virgil van Dijk, Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah, and Sadio Mane – have been included in the 55-man list, which is decided by votes from thousands of professional footballers across the world.

Tottenham Hotspur are duly represented by Karry Kane, Heung-min Son and Christian Eriksen while Man United have two apiece; David de Gea/Paul Pogba and N’Golo Kante/Eden Hazard – although the latter now plies his trade in Madrid, Spain.

Each player must select one goalkeeper, four defenders, three midfielders and three forwards for the list, with Barca (11), Real (nine), Man City (eight) and Liverpool (seven) dominating the list.
