First, for being a veteran media personality who was famous for “Lunch Break”, a popular television show on Africa Independent Television, AIT as far back as the 2000s and second, for being the wife of veteran Nollywood actor, Richard Mofe-Damijo, also known as RMD.
Although, Jumobi would later go on to pursue other of her passions in the corporate world and also her marriage to the legendary Nollywood actor, which has spanned over two decades and counting. Jumobi has been regarded as ‘highly successful’ in the corporate world ever since she walked away from TV presenting.
The former TV presenter was born on January 27, 1972, in Lagos. However, it is not exactly clear if she is originally from Lagos.
For those who have no idea, Jumobi is RMD’s second wife. Richard Mofe-Damijo was married to Nigerian journalist/publisher, May Ellen-Ezekiel (MEE). After her demise in 1996, he remarried TV personality, Jumobi Adegbesan after they dated for about three years on December 29th, 2000.
Jumobi and RMD are deeply close and share a profound level of mutual love. In 2020, RMD took to his Instagram handle to announce his 20th wedding anniversary with Jumobi. According to the ace Nollywood actor, Jumobi is quite a comedian who still makes him laugh even after two decades of being together. RMD wrote in part while eulogizing his wife on Instagram:
20 years later, you still crack me up my WinterRose😂 Thank you my Abk , my Aabike, my Dejumo, my Abiks!

Jumobi Adegbesan-Damijo is both a mother, stepmother and step-grandmother. In total, RMD has four children; two from his previous marriage and two from Jumobi and also has two grandchildren. While Jumobi tries as much as possible to keep her affairs private and away from social media, her husband who is a popular actor always finds a way to involve her in his affairs, all thanks to the profound love the couple share. Sometime in 2020, RMD penned a long post on Instagram on how he periodically gets requests from younger girls about how his wife, Jumobi is so lucky to have such a charming man. RMD corrected the notion via his post, hinting that the surface is superficial and that the ladies who drool over him are unaware of the fact that he drools or snores when he sleeps or farts in a disgusting way and that only his wife has been able to put up with him.
RMD credits the success of his marriage to his wife. In an interview with City People in 2020, RMD said:
Honestly, all the credit goes to that beautiful woman Jumobi Adegbesan that copes and manages me, each time, people ask how is your wife I tell them she is still managing me, it has not been easy, I owe her a debit of gratitude because she took a set back for me, when we got married, she was already a television personality people love and she could have been anything she desire to be but she said to me, I am going to stop, get met a regular job, I don’t want to be celebrity and I said why, she said one person in the family is enough, you stay there and do your time by thing and let me take care of the homefront, to me that is a lot. If that is not love at the highest level of personal sacrifice then I don’t know what it is, and so you can’t have a partner like that and you won’t step up in things you do and I am far, far, far from being perfect but blessed with an almost perfect wife, that would do anything for me, so my success as a father is just because I am blessed with an amazing wife, and what I am today is just keeping up to the level at which she operates.
Various sources confirm that Jumobi deeply loves tattoos and even has a butterfly tattoo on one of her breasts! Being a reserved person, it is believed Jumobi barely exposes this but it became visible at some point in one of her social media posts.
If anyone hated or avoided social media perfectly well amongst those that are related or connected to celebrities, it is none other than Jumobi. The mother and grandmother deliberately stays away from social media—almost like there is no digital footprint of her anywhere! Although RMD once confirmed that the former media personality decided to stay away from social media in order to keep her marriage and home away from prying eyes. Despite this, RMD is still considered one of the hottest male celebrities in Nigeria and is a target for ladies who are on the lookout for sweet “baby boys”.
It will not be out of place to say that Jumobi has never been caught in a web of controversy before. For someone who spends time away from social media, it is near impossible to bring their issues to social media for discussion. However, unlike Jumobi, RMD has been embroiled in several controversies over the years and it is not unexpected, considering the fact that he is a handsome actor whose name is bankable.
RMD was once rumoured to be dating a young girl and was set to dump his wife for the strange girl but the Urhobo actor denied it, claiming is it nothing but a lie.
