Zazi Kunene, born on May 17, 1999, is a talented South African dancer and actress who gained recognition for her portrayal of Nolwazi in the Netflix original series, Jiva!.
Born in South Africa, Zazi spent much of her childhood in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal, where, despite facing challenges like stuttering and bullying, she discovered her passion for performing in grade 11.
Career
Zazi’s journey into the world of entertainment began with her involvement in the production of Sarafina at UKZN Pietermaritzburg. Recognizing her potential, her family encouraged her pursuit of the performing arts. Zazi further honed her skills at the Helen O’Grady Drama Academy and went on to study drama at the University of Witwatersrand.
During her final year of university, Zazi Kunene put her academic pursuits on hold after landing a significant role in a Netflix dance production, marking a pivotal moment in her acting career.
